Construction Cakes
May 2013
This one was for my cousin's child's birthday. The black stripes are black modeling chocolate. It's hard to get a really black color but for small amounts of black I've found it's easiest to use the black wilton candy melts and make modeling chocolate. (The black on the number one is the shadow from the backhoe)

October 2012. This was my son's second birthday cake. No fondant, easy peasy. Just chocolate cake and chocolate buttercream. The traffic cones were left over modeling chocolate. I rolled it out and cut little squares then shaped cones and stuck them to the squares. The rocks are chocolate candy rocks I bought at Orson Gygi in Salt Lake.
